“Whoever holds the hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor”
Thor is the hammer-wielding god of thunder in Norse mythology. He is also one of the many Marvel superheroes created by comic book legend Stan Lee, scripter Larry Lieber, and penciller Jack Kirby who made his first appearance in Journey into Mystery #83 in Aug 1962.
The movie adaption of THOR opens today and I was very honoured to be one of the few to be invited by OMY Blog Club to the gala premiere held yesterday evening at The Cathay.
Without giving too many spoilers away, I’ll just say I enjoyed the movie, it was pretty decent, simple, without been too ambitious like Iron Man 2 or Transformers 2 both of which were rather disappointing.
I really like the battle scene of THOR and gang with the frost giants. The destroyer is pretty cool too. Be sure to pay attention to cameo appearance by Best Actor Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner who plays a certain marksman.
And oh, don’t forget to stay after the credits for an additional scene.
