Life Can Only Be Understood Backward but It Must Be Lived Forward

Dear Daisy,

Remember the promise we made that I will send you a postcard from everywhere? Well here’s one from me on the tugboat on my way to Russia. Captain Mike and the rest of the crew are real nice to me. I am truly grateful. Places I been to, people always ask what’s an old ragged bone like me doing on the seas? I get that a lot and am used to it. Imagine the look on their faces when I told them I’m only 17. I miss Mama and her cooking. I hope she isn’t worrying too much about me. How are you doing? You mentioned before it’s your dream to become a dancer. Well you certainly have a talent for it. Good luck. Will write again soon.
