Random Photo Shoot 1

Here are some pictures I took when I was running around town and other places.

This is Neko, our neighbourhood protector taking a nap as usual. ^^;

Haven’t been building gundams due to lack of time. 😦
This is my GN-X which I build few months back for a modeling club I joined.

Mikuru no tease for Danny’s members’ news.

Haruhi standee spotted at Anime Festival Asia 08. So want to take her home. E-mailed the company to inquire whether is it up for sale till far no reply. 😦

This block of flat is undergoing lift upgrading whereby the lift will stop on every floor when done. Lifts of older flats do not stop at every floor.

Statue of a Chinese lion. Looks scary.

A shot of the Central Business District using my DSLR.

Shot taken in March at the same place using my digital compact camera.

Night. Love the wide angle lens of the DSLR. ^^;

Same place at night using digital camera.

  24. YuKi-To says:

    Awesome photos Gordon!

  25. meronpan says:

    i wasn’t sure if that first pic was a picture of a cat that just got run over or sleeping ^^;; glad it was just sleeping

    great shots!

  26. TP says:

    Hahaha… I’m glad you took the opportunity to explore your country/neighbourhood.

    Curiosity: did you by perchance used a tripod stand for your city night shot? I could swear the largest aperture on our kit lens is f/4.0, and on an 18mm focal length, the minimum shutter exposure time should be 1/20 second before camera shake becomes too noticeable. I wonder…

    Ooh, love the neko, hate the LUP (Lift Upgrading Program) noise.

  27. the first picture that cat is so cute haha I hope I can rest like it does without worrying a bit of my life ( well I am pretty sure that cat has some concerns too…haha)

  28. gordon says:

    @ YuKi-To,
    thanks!

    @ meronpan,
    lol. neko sleeps everywhere. ^^

    @ TP,
    i used a tripod and a remote. totally no shakes at all.

    @ AnimeVocalist,
    yes indeed. sometimes a simple life is bliss too.

  29. marvin says:

    the shots you take with the kit lens are amazing.

  30. MrMayat says:

    You managed to capture great lighting and good weather in the last 2 pics. Seems like your friend has taught you well. 🙂

    Kit lens can produce sharp results when used properly. I prefer mine with plenty of bokeh though. 😛

  31. koshiko says:

    Huge difference between the dslr and the compact. I prefer your night shot, but the day one is incredible too *o*

    Neko is so cute~ no worries about the bike? xD;;

  32. zenical says:

    Oh wow, nice pictures. Actually Singapore has nice buildings to appreciate.. but too many people that makes you rush >_>

  33. gordon says:

    @ marvin,
    thanks. still have much to learn though.

    @ MrMayat,
    my friend? who?

    @ koshiko
    no worried, neko has 9 lives.

    @ zenical,
    yes indeed. sometimes it’s good to slow down to appreciate things around us.
