So how is Halloween celebrated in Singapore?
Halloween seems to be getting increasingly popular in Singapore as can be evidenced by the massive long queues outside popular night clubs from dusk till dawn.
Trick-or-treating is generally unpracticed over here. People treat Halloween more like a costuming day. There are the usual witches, ghosts, skeletons and other (supposedly) scary characters. Then there are also the likes of (sexy) nurses, (sexy) policewomen, anime cosplays and huge assortment of costumes from popular culture.
Just to name a few I saw, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, a ghostbuster, pirates, Harry Potters, a Chinese Emperor, Soldiers, a wrestler, a cow, a penguin, a Scottish football fan in a kilt, lolita, a girl in yutaka and Japanese school uniforms. Surprisingly, some even wore their real school uniform! Singapore school uniforms are very dull looking btw (example). And then we also have the scantily clad girls with devil horns or nekomimi hair band. Oh did I mention all those outfits are very short and revealing? It’s an eye feast. Lots of oppai(s) everywhere! (‘~’)
Most locals lead an uninteresting life and Halloween seems like the only opportunity for people to wind down, play dress up (or down) and parade it openly in public without been seen as weirdo.
Ok enough about the costumes, next I want to say something about local night clubs. Most night clubs are so freaking small and you have like so many people crowded in one dark and noisy environment. One cannot even see and hear clearly the person next to you. It could be just me since there are plenty of people waiting outside eager to get in. Most clubs allow free entry to people who come in costume on Halloween. Personally I don’t see the point of waiting hours to get into a club to be packed like sardines. The only good thing about local night clubs though is that smoking is prohibited.
Anyway I actually enjoyed myself more mingling with the people queuing outside to get in. Taking pictures with the cute babes (Can’t turn them down since they asked). ^^;
Last year, the gang and I went to Clarke Quay, another famous spot for clubbers. It was crowded but at least it has an open area to walk around. It was my first trooping in armour. As with last year, I didn’t have a personal photographer to take pictures this year as well so can’t show you all more of the cute girlies out there last night.
When I was out of armour and getting ready to go home, I saw this super hot chick in extremely short skirt and her bursting oppai exposed in 3/4 view. Maybe Lady Luck was giving me a chance cos she actually talked to me! She asked is this the line to wait for taxis. I answered, “I have no idea”. People always say Halloween is the best time to get laid since people can’t blame you for doing crazy stuffs since it’s Halloween afterall! Oh well, maybe next year… Happy Halloween everyone!

Unfortunately nobody invite these 4 lovely girls to their parties. They are indeed very awesome don’ you think?

If it weren’t for having more cosplay events yearly.
Still clubbing is never a thing for me. Not when you allow “good friends” to make you drunk. It’s rather sad to be remembered as a “merlion”.
u are remembered as a merlion? (‘~’)
Well..
Body doesn’t quite agree with the load of alcohol. With the bass booming loudly, i tried to rush to the toilet but were seconds too late.
That said, it was the first and last time i went there..
Memory blocked for a good reason too.
lol i get it now!
Heh,reminds me of the time I was forced to drink 2-3 litres of water before a drill.Stomach couldn’t handle it and I literally looked like the Merlion, water gushing out form my mouth for a whole 20-30 seconds.
Worse is that it was in front of the whole group.
the way to read this post: skip everything and read the canceled part.
lol!
Rofl, I agree. That was the best part. =D
That nurse girl is very pretty. ^^
What you need is a bigger codpiece.
Over here in the UK, people simply dress out in Halloween-related costumes and go clubbing/drinking. I just want a break after a long week so clubbing is not a thing for me.
Btw your crossed out text is such an attention seeker!
u guys aren’t suppose to read the crossed out text! that’s why it’s crossed out! >.<
Exclude it from the post then!
Btw, rmb to line up next time ^^
Heh, so to summarize it, nothing all that different from dressing up like you do any other day? :p
Well, i looks really fun.
T.T
Definitely much fun than our Halloween here. ;_;
i mean ‘It’.
gordon always gets the girls rofl
I slept my Halloween away. ~.~
Friends around me have no habit of celebrating Halloween so it’s another normal day for me. I would like to have a party for this day in the future though. Vodka plus ribena please. Miss the coffee flavored alcohol at my friend’s place.
Sorry I wasn’t there to render my services Gordon. ;_; Got A levels to study.
ya man i miss my excellent photographer. =(
cute nurse huhu…
very interesting ! though the nurse is most interesting :3
there are more interesting ones.
Lucky trooper…I spent my halloween at home sleeping…
Where I live now there isn’t much in the way of night clubs, but I know that they’re usually pretty busy in the big cities. It’s great that there’s no smoking in them though, it’s been like that here for a long time. People still trick or treat but it’s been on a decline since I was a kid.
